Tom Kinney has been employed with the City since 1985. Attached is <br />Resolution 8575, which authorizes severance to Tom Kinney in accordance with Section <br />3.45 of the Mounds View Personnel Manual. The Police Chief is a non-union, exempt <br />classified position. <br /> <br /> <br />Discussion <br /> <br />Resolution 8575 provides a payout of Tom Kinney’s accrued/unused sick time. In <br />accordance with Section 3.45 of Mounds View Personnel Manual, Tom Kinney is authorized <br />a sick time payout totaling $33,172.20 to his Retirement Health Savings Plan. This is <br />calculated as 920.86 accrued/unused sick hours times 65% times his hourly rate of $55.42. <br /> <br />Resolution 8575 provides a cash payout on Tom Kinney’s vacation time. In accordance with <br />Section 3.45(D), of the Mounds View Personnel Manual, Tom Kinney is authorized a <br />vacation time payout totaling $19,566.59 to his Retirement Health Savings Plan.
