<br />RESOLUTION NO. 8575 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING SEVERANCE PAYMENT TO <br />POLICE CHIEF TOM KINNEY <br /> <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Tom Kinney submitted his resignation and his last day of employment <br />was April 29, 2016; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the balance of accrued and unused sick leave time is 920.86 hours; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the balance of accrued and unused vacation is 353.06 hours; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Tom Kinney’s current rate of pay is $55.42 per hour; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 3.45 of the Mounds View Personnel <br />Manual, the maximum potential payout of accrued/unused sick time will be 920.86 hours x <br />65% x his hourly rate of $55.42 = $33,172.20 into Tom Kinney’s Retirement Health Savings <br />Plan (RHSP); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 3.45 of the Mounds View Personnel <br />Manual, the maximum potential payout of accrued/unused vacation time will be 353.06 <br />hours x his hourly rate of $55.42 = $19,566.59 into Tom Kinney’s Retirement Health <br />Savings Plan (RHSP). <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council <br />approves a one-time payout of sick time not to exceed $33,172.20 into Tom Kinney’s <br />RHSP in accordance with Section 3.45 of the Mounds View Personnel Manual. <br /> <br /> NOW, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council approves a <br />one-time payout of vacation time not to exceed $19,566.59 into Tom Kinney’s RHSP in <br />accordance with Section 3.45 of the Mounds View Personnel Manual. <br /> <br />Adopted this 9th day of May, 2016. <br /> <br /> <br /> ________________________________ <br /> Joe Flaherty, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> ________________________________ <br /> James Ericson, City Administrator <br />(seal) <br /> <br />
