<br /> <br />RESOLUTION 8599 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />AUTHORIZING AE2S INC. (ADVANCED ENGINEERING AND ENVIRONMENTAL <br />SERVICES, INC.) TO PERFORM A WATER PRODUCTION ASSESSMENT AND <br />PREPARE A MANAGEMENT PROGRAM FOR THE WATER INFRASTRUCTURE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The Public Works Department has many responsibilities including <br />efficiently operating the water distribution system; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, these treatment systems have been in operation for over 25 years with <br />no major upgrades or repairs to the system; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Public Works Staff has discovered that many of the components are <br />obsolete and no longer are available to make repairs; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, there hasn’t been a comprehensive water production management plan <br />completed for the City’s water infrastructure; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, City Staff contacted several consulting engineering services that <br />specialize in water production; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City received two proposals by qualified consultants for the water <br />production assessment for fee amounts of $9,950.00 and $19,260.00. The lowest proposal <br />was received by AE2S Inc.; and <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds <br />View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br /> <br />1. Approves the proposal submitted by AE2S to perform Water Supply and Treatment <br />Assessment will be on a lump sum basis of $9,950.00. <br /> <br />2. Upon satisfactory review by the City Attorney the Mayor and City Administrator are <br />authorized and directed, for and on behalf of the City, to execute and enter into the <br />proposal agreement. <br /> <br />3. Approves a 10% contingency for $950.00 for any additional testing required to <br />complete the study.
