Chuck Whiting <br /> January 3, 1997 <br /> Page 2 <br /> 4) Advising committees of the City from time to time as requested by staff; <br /> 5) Advising the City Council and staff, as necessary or as required, to discuss <br /> topics including, but not limited to important legislative or judicial <br /> developments; <br /> 6) Formal and informal advice on operating procedures and personnel matters <br /> including interpretations of federal, state and local rules and regulations <br /> relating to operating procedures, such as data privacy requirements, open <br /> meeting law requirements and othei personnel and administrative <br /> requirements of federal, state or local law. <br /> 7) Providing Code Supplements incorporating new ordinances every six <br /> months. <br /> b) For all other City legal services, including those described below, except for those <br /> services described in paragraphs 5 and 6, compensation at an hourly rate of$115 <br /> for Firm attorneys and $60 per hour for law clerks and $70 per hour for legal <br /> assistants: <br /> 1) Real estate transactions; <br /> 2) Review and preparation of Tax Increment Finance documents and <br /> development agreements; (Steve Bubul would also be involved in TIF <br /> matters.) <br /> 3) General legal advice to the Mounds View EDA and attendance at EDA <br /> meetings; <br /> 4) Labor and employment matters other than routine or general advice; <br /> 5) Civil litigation matters, including condemnation and special assessment <br /> challenges; <br /> 6) Special projects which are so designated by the City Council or the City <br /> Clerk-Administrator, including attendance at City commission and <br /> committee meetings when requested in addition to the regular meetings <br /> covered as part of the retainer agreement, including current files <br /> MU125-50 and MU125-51 relating to the golf course and airport matters. <br /> 4. The Firm shall also be separately reimbursed for any costs and disbursements which it <br /> incurs in connection with providing any of the services described in paragraph 3 of this <br /> RCL114982 <br /> MU125-11 <br />
