i <br /> Increasing focus on non-point sources of environmental degradation has brought storm water <br /> runoff and agricultural chemical usage under scrutiny and regulation. PEER assists industrial and <br /> municipal clients in evaluating and implementing engineering controls to minimize impacts, and <br /> establishing and meeting permit requirements. PEER has completed investigations and remedial <br /> actions on a variety of agricultural chemical release sites, and is knowledgeable of the special <br /> federal and state programs addressing the regulation and control over the agricultural chemical <br /> industry. <br /> Environmental compliance audits are conducted for various types of industries in order to <br /> identify potential issues of regulatory non-compliance and implement corrective measures so that <br /> fines or contamination incidents can be avoided. The purpose of an ESA is to identify potential environmental concerns, such <br /> as soil and ground water contamination, hazardous waste and asbestos, and evaluate the risk of <br /> environmental impairment and liability. ESAs can also be used for benchmarking site conditions, <br /> property and business valuations, property tax abatement, public reporting, accounting and . .- <br /> disclosures, and responsible party searches.
