Employee Events&Recognition Committee Meeting <br /> Wednesday,January 21,1998 <br /> 2:00 p.m. <br /> In Attendance: Barb Benesch <br /> Kitty Hickok <br /> Tim Ramacher <br /> INFORMATION <br /> Also Present: Tracy Sanchez <br /> ONLY <br /> Absent: Tim Fredberg <br /> Pat Michna <br /> Bruce Meehan <br /> Chuck Whiting <br /> The meeting began at 2:00 p.m. <br /> Tracy started out the meeting by reviewing a memo that she, as Committee Chair, distributed regarding all of <br /> the Committees. The memo described each of the City's Committees and their function, Committee <br /> guidelines, and the names and meeting days and times of each committee. She asked that the committee let <br /> her know of any changes or additions that we felt were appropriate <br /> The Committee briefly discussed whether or not we should be handling parties for new employees and those <br /> leaving the City. It was also suggested that employees leaving the City be given the option of receiving a <br /> plaque, a gift certificate or perhaps some other gift. They question was also raised as to how service awards <br /> should be distributed: at the summer outing, a council meeting,or perhaps organizing a dinner to be held at <br /> the Mermaid banquet room similar to that of the appreciate dinner, only a smaller version of it. <br /> The committee decided that they would continue their discussions regarding the summer outing, awards and <br /> how to distribute them and employee receptions at the next meeting due to the absence of the majority of the <br /> members. <br /> The next meeting will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday,February 18, 1998. <br /> Meeting adjourned at 2:35 p.m. <br /> • <br /> Submitted by: <br /> Barb Benesch <br /> N:\DATA\GROUPS\ADmimmrNUTEs.EEC\o 1-21-98.wPD <br />
