[1999 LEGISLATIVE PROPOSAL. ] Based on the <br /> 3 metropolitan council' s experience with the corridor planning <br /> 4 pilot projects, the council shall propose legislation for the <br /> 5 1999 legislature' s consideration, that will provide incentives <br /> 6 to communities that adopi a- corridor plan' approved by the <br /> 7 council . Recommendations for incentives may include, but are <br /> 8 not limited to, recommendations related to tax increment <br /> 9 financing, brownfield cleanup and redevelopment assistance, <br /> 10 transportation funding, board of government innovation and <br /> 11 cooperation grants, and local government assistance. <br /> 12 Sec . 2 . [APPROPRIATION. ] <br /> 13 $ is appropriated from the general fund to the <br /> 14 metropolitan council for fiscal year 1999 for corridor planning <br /> 15 pilot project grants . <br /> 16 Sec. 3 . [EFFECTIVE DATES; APPLICATION. ] <br /> 17 Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment. <br /> 18 This act applies in the counties of Anoka, Carver, Dakota , <br /> 19 Hennepin, Ramsey, Scott, and Washington . <br /> 1Ni iORNIATION <br /> ONLY " <br />
