71 ' <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 5207 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> A RESOLUTION APPROVING PHASE II PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND <br /> AUTHORIZING THE TAKING OF BIDS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION <br /> OF THE MOUNDS VIEW COMMUNITY CENTER <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View has had Phase II plans designed for the <br /> construction of the Mounds View Community Center on the existing Bel Rae Ballroom site and <br /> has had these plans reviewed by a citizens committee charged with the plans' review; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council has met with the project's architects, WAI Continuum, and <br /> also reviewed the Phase II plans and have found them to be acceptable for bidding; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council now desires to proceed with the construction of Phase II of <br /> the Community Center project, consisting of finishing refurbishment of the Bel Rae Ballroom for <br /> meeting and classroom space, the addition of a gymnasium, office space, commons and meeting <br /> areas, outdoors landscaping and parking as portrayed in the WAI Continuum Project Manual <br /> dated January 19, 1998 and accompanying project information provided by WAI Continuum and <br /> amended in any way at the January 26, 1998 Mounds View City Council meeting; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MOUNDS VIEW CITY COUNCIL <br /> that the City Council hereby notifies WAI Continuum of its approval of the Community Center <br /> specifications and authorizes WAI Continuum to proceed with the soliciting of construction bids <br /> for the Community Center project as described above. <br /> Adopted this 26th day of January, 1998. <br /> ATTEST: <br /> Mayor Duane McCarty <br /> (SEAL) <br /> Clerk Administrator Charles S.
