7e, <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 5208 <br /> Approving salary adjustments for all non-union employees for 1998 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> County of Ramsey <br /> State of Minnesota <br /> Councilor introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> WHEREAS, the cost of living wage increases for governmental employees for 1998 appear to be <br /> averaging approximately 3%; and <br /> WHEREAS,the City did not increase its contribution towards the cost of employees' health insurance <br /> in 1997 and it appears that the cost of health insurance for 1998 will be increasing in excess of 5%; and <br /> WHEREAS,the City has not settled its contract with the two unions representing its Police Department <br /> employees. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View that it <br /> does hereby approve a 3%salary increase to all full-time employees and permanent part-time employees <br /> as per the attached 1998 Salary Schedule, excluding those Police Department employees covered by <br /> union contracts, retroactive to January 1, 1998. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED,that the City does hereby increase its maximum contribution towards <br /> health and other associated insurances from $330 per month to $340 per month, effective January 1, <br /> 1998, for all eligible employees, excluding those Police Department employees covered by union <br /> contracts. <br /> The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilor and the roll <br /> being call, the following vote was recorded: <br /> Voting Aye: Councilors. <br /> Voting Nay: . <br /> Not Voting: . <br /> Whereas said resolution was declared to have been duly passed and adopted this 26th day of January, <br /> 1998. <br /> ATTEST: <br /> Mayor <br /> (SEAL) <br /> City Administrator <br />
