In the R-1 and R-2 districts, a gravel parking surface may be installed not to exceed 300 <br /> square feet, or, if to be used as a parking surface for an RV, the minimum area that would <br /> encompass the wheelbase of one RV. <br /> 14. Proof of parking--the setting aside of required parking spaces as green space until needed <br /> sometime in the future--currently requires a CUP. However, there are built-in conditions <br /> in the Code that must be met to allow for the Proof of Parking. If the requirements are <br /> met, why require a CUP? <br /> 15. Distinction between temporary and permanent surfaces eliminated regarding setback of <br /> driveway and parking area. Now all surfaces (gravel, asphalt, concrete or brick) are <br /> allowed within one foot (1') of property line, with permission of neighboring property <br /> owner. <br /> Recommendation: <br /> Review the attached ordinance and provide staff with any comments and or suggestions before <br /> first reading and public hearing. <br /> James Ericson, Planning Associate <br />
