• Provide Assistance in Compensation, Salary, Benefit and Training Programs <br /> • Prepare and maintain compensation schedule and administer step adjustments. <br /> • Prepare projected salary and benefits statements for personnel. <br /> • Assist in assurance of Pay Equity compliance. <br /> • Assist to determine job content and specifications and write job descriptions for <br /> departments, collect and analyze data relating to salary information. <br /> • Assist in health insurance, Section 125, workers compensation, deferred compensation, <br /> disability and other insurance related issues and programs. <br /> • Assist in developing centralized training courses and programs. <br /> Employee Assessment and Performance Appraisal <br /> • Develop performance appraisal system or procedures, attitude surveys,recognition, <br /> suggestion and other applicable personnel programs. <br /> Assist Labor Relations <br /> • Provide research and staff support for all labor relations responsibilities. <br /> Risk Management Safety <br /> • Assist to develop, maintain, and update safety policies and/or manual. <br /> Prepare information for human resources budget and operations. <br /> • Prepare, maintain,update affirmative action and submit required information to maintain <br /> compliance. <br /> Administer COBRA regulations. <br /> Licensing <br /> • Maintains liquor and various business license files and ensures annual renewals <br /> are completed as outlined and required by established ordinances. <br /> • Licenses include garbage/rubbish, non-intoxicating liquor, on-sale and off sale <br /> intoxicating liquor, restaurant, cigarette& tobacco, massage therapy, temporary <br /> liquor licenses. <br /> Recycling <br /> • Coordinates City recycling program and services. <br /> • Administers funding/grant program. <br /> • Coordinates recycling activities, including annual Clean-Up Day. <br /> • Develops promotional literature and brochures. <br /> • Prepare and maintain semi-annual tonnage reports. <br /> • Prepare Recycling budget. <br /> PERIPHERAL DUTIES <br /> Serves as a member of the Safety Committee, Labor/Management Committee and other <br /> applicable committees. <br /> Other duties as assigned by Finance Director. <br />
