POSITION ACCOUNTABILITY WRITE-UP <br /> POSITION TITLE: Administrative Aide <br /> DEPARTMENT: Administration <br /> ACCOUNTABLE TO: Assistant to City Administrator <br /> PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION <br /> This position provides detailed administrative support through <br /> effective performance of assigned duties and responsibilities . <br /> MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY <br /> Compiles and distributes City Council agenda packets and Economic <br /> Development Authority agenda packets to the City Council, <br /> • department heads and other interested parties . Prepare originals <br /> for signature and filing. <br /> Organize and maintain an orderly records management system for a <br /> variety of records and correspondence to ensure prompt retrieval of <br /> information as required or requested. <br /> Maintains assigned records including but not limited to, <br /> resolutions, ordinances, and minutes <br /> Update, as required, indexes including, but not limited to, <br /> Resolutions, Ordinances, and Staff Reports . <br /> Assists in the set-up and administration of elections consistent <br /> with state law and performs related duties . <br /> Assist in the set up of Council Chambers for City Meetings . <br /> Receives phone inquiries and handles customers and attempts to <br /> provide assistance and guidance whenever possible. <br /> • Handles maintenance calls for office equipment including fax <br /> machine, copier and microfilm machine. <br />
