PUBLIC WORKS <br /> ► Bill Hanson assisted the City of New Brighton in finding a water leak. <br /> ► Voting booths, etc. were brought over to the BelRae building September 5. <br /> ► Bill Hanggi went to the Boundary Waters for some fishing and beautiful scenery. <br /> ► Curb and gutter was poured on September 5 and 6, we anticipate the base course of asphalt <br /> will be laid next week. Landscaping will be performed in a couple weeks; after the <br /> sidewalk is poured. <br /> ► Tim Pittman installed the new sander/hydraulic controls on the dump truck. This will <br /> improve plowing safety and efficiency. An additional control is budgeted in 1997. <br /> ► We received check from APT for$6,870.00 for the pro-rated lease payment. Their <br /> construction of the antennas should begin sometime this fall. Staff is currently negotiating <br /> a similar agreement with US West. <br /> ► Application deadline is September 6 for the maintenance position. Staff will review the <br /> applications next week and set up interviews. <br /> ► Cathy Rocklitz, Kennedy& Gravens, and Tracy closed on the other relocation property, <br /> 4943 Old Highway 8, September 5. All went very smooth; a 15 min. closing! <br /> ► Staff will meet with Evergreen Land Services on Wednesday, September 11, to discuss <br /> additional right of way acquisition from BioWash, Motel, Mermaid for the Old Highway 8 <br /> project. <br /> ► Forest Lake Contracting will be building the extension for Mounds View Drive (between <br /> the Schwinn Dealer and Silver Lake Pointe Apartments.)
