• Develops policies and procedures for golf course activities including tournaments,tee times, general <br /> course play, and operating hours to ensure optimum use of course facilities. <br /> Manages golf course concessions, cart and other rentals. <br /> Serves as a liaison to various leagues, tournaments,teams; coordinates events and activities at the <br /> golf course. <br /> Assists in coordinating course promotions and advertisements. <br /> Initiates and implements safety regulations and procedures. <br /> Responds to requests and complaints regarding operations and maintenance of the golf course, and <br /> conduct of patrons. <br /> Lays out daily work schedules and assigns tasks to appropriate individuals, crews or combination <br /> of crews, and coordinates the completion of the same. <br /> Provides necessary supervision, direction, and assistance to crews at work sites. Enforces policies, <br /> regulations, and safety and health standards. <br /> Determines, calculates and secures the appropriate materials and supplies for a specific project. <br /> Projects needs for equipment, materials and supplies. Assists in the preparation of specifications, <br /> estimates, and bids for machinery, equipment, and contractor services. <br /> Assures that clubhouse facilities are properly maintained and kept in proper working condition. <br /> Opens and closes, locks and unlocks facilities as needed. <br /> MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS <br /> Education and Experience: <br /> (A) Graduation from high school or GED equivalent, supplemented by two years of post- <br /> secondary education or training in golf course management, business management, <br /> recreation, or a closely related field, and <br /> (B) Three years experience in golf course clubhouse operations and golf instruction, and <br /> (C) Valid Drivers License, <br /> (D) Experience using computers. <br /> Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: <br /> • (A) Considerable knowledge of the business management practices of municipal golf courses; <br /> some knowledge of municipal finance, accounting, sales and marketing; <br />
