• <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 4958 • <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF A CAPACITY BUILDING GRANT <br /> APPLICATION TO THE MINNESOTA HOUSING FINANCE AGENCY FOR HOUSING <br /> RELATED TRAINING <br /> WHEREAS, the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency offers a Capacity Building <br /> Grant annually on a competitive basis; and <br /> WHEREAS, one of the allowed uses under the Capacity Grant is for staff <br /> training related to housing development, housing management, or other subjects <br /> related to the provision of housing or housing services; and <br /> WHEREAS, the National Development Council offers a three week training <br /> course in housing development, management and finance; and <br /> WHEREAS, applying for this grant would allow Staff to attend the training at <br /> minimal cost to the cost to the City of Mounds View and increase the knowledge of staff • <br /> for future housing related projects such as rehabilitation of the existing housing stock; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View Planning <br /> Commission supports the submission of this application.to the Minnesota Housing <br /> Finance Agency on behalf of the City of Mounds View to increase the knowledge of <br /> staff in the areas of housing management, development and finance. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mounds View Planning Commission <br /> directs Staff to forward this Resolution to the City Council prior to approval of the <br /> minutes. <br /> Adopted this 10th day of June, 1996. <br /> ATTEST: <br /> Mayor Linke <br /> (SEAL) <br /> City Clerk-Administrator <br /> Chuck Whiting • <br />
