PUBLIC WORKS <br /> ► The Streets Department has completed the sweeping!!!! Nice job guys. <br /> ► The water mains will be flushed, starting May 6. (The valves will be turned May 5.) This <br /> process should only take 4-5 days. <br /> • The Sewer Department is televising and cleaning sewer this week. Letters were sent to <br /> those residents where roots were discovered in their service line. Good going guys. <br /> • The Streets Department went through the entire City cleaning up the boulevards and <br /> documenting those addresses in need of sod. Vouchers will be given to the residents that <br /> require such. <br /> • Mark has almost completed the installation of the waste oil heaters (the piping etc.) Bacons <br /> Electric is here today (May 1) installing the conduit. OUTSTANDING JOB MARK! <br /> • Keading and Associates in conjunction with NSP preparing a proposal for electrical <br /> conversions for the Booster Station. NSP will reimburse the City 1/2 of the engineering <br /> costs for the study. <br /> • Mike is working on the proposed assessments for Pleasant View Drive. A Public Hearing <br /> will be set sometime in June. Staff will bring information to a May Council meeting. <br /> • The Water Department had a state inspection May 1. We had an excellent rating! Good <br /> going guys. <br /> Tracy <br /> POLICE <br /> • The P.D. purchased and received eleven new portable radios this week. This purchase was <br /> funded in part by a safety grant. <br />
