She noted that Ms.
Grosslein has satisfied the application requirements outlined in the Municipal Code and has provided the City
with signatures of at least 50%of the residents who occupy land within 500 feet of her property. The
Planning Commission has reviewed the request and recommended approval.
Council member Blanchard noted that the map depicting those residents who signed the petition indicates that a
few of the property owners near the subject property had failed to sign the petition. She asked if these
residents were in objection to the request.
Ms. Trude noted that this was discussed at the Planning Commission and one of these property owners had
previously registered a complaint about the dogs, however the two properties directly behind the subject
property were not available, though several attempts were made to reach them.
Laurie Ricci,8433 Sunnyside Road, asked how much time the dogs will be spending outside.
Ms. Grosslein explained that her dogs are only let out for short periods of time, and that they will not be let
outside unless they are at home.
Gene Sherman,8442 Red Oak Drive, stated he has lived near Ms. Grosslein for 17 years and has never had a
problem with her dogs.
