There were none. MOTION/SECOND: Hankner/Blanchard to approve the Consent Agenda as presented. VOTE: 5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried RESIDENTS REOUESTS AND COMMENTS FROM THE FLOOR: Mayor Linke explained that this portion of the meeting was designated for anyone who wished to speak to the Council on items that were not on the Agenda. Tom Winiecki,2748 Sherwood Road,in referring to the BelRae Ballroom property, asked why the Council would even consider purchasing a 32 year old building for$750,000. He wanted to know what the overall cost would be and if the Council has taken into consideration the monthly operating expenses. Mayor Linke explained that the city has been given the opportunity to purchase the property and the council is looking at the proposal as well as what they may want to consider using the property for(community center/social service center). He noted that in the 1993 Vision in Process,a Community Center was one of the things the residents wanted to see for the area. This would be an ideal location and the property has been maintained. The council at this time is just in the process of researching the proposal and putting together some information. PUBLIC HEARINGS: To Consider Issuance of Non-Intoxicating Off-Sale License to Twin City Stores,Inc. (Oasis).
