This Federal grant funds 75% of the salary <br /> and benefits of a newly appointed officer. The grant is for a period of three years. <br /> The Mounds View Police Civil Service Commission began the hiring process for an additional Police Officer in <br /> October of 1995. The hiring process is regulated by State Law, Civil Service rules and the Police Officer <br /> Standard and Training Board requirements. <br /> The selection process includes; a written examination, interview, psychological testing, physical examination, <br /> 0 comprehensive personal history, and a background investigation. After the testing process, the Civil Service <br /> Commission establishes an eligibility list and submits to the City Council, the three highest ranking applicants. <br /> 1 <br /> The Mounds View Police Civil Service Commission hereby submits the following three names of qualified <br /> applicants for City Council consideration: <br /> f <br /> Darrell S. Meyer <br /> Keith L. Czarnecki <br /> Steven A. Menard <br /> Its is the opinion of the members of the Police Civil Service Commission that Darrell S. Meyer is the best <br /> qualified candidate for the position of Patrol Officer. <br /> A / <br /> Tim ' amac- •',P•lice Chief <br /> ' COMMENDATION; <br /> The Mounds View Civil Service Commission requests the City Council authorize the hiring of Darrell S.Meyer to the position of Police <br /> Officer starting on or about March 11, 1996. Probationary period will be for one year. The starting salary and benefits will be per local <br /> union agreement. <br />
