<br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 8613 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />APPROVE REPLACEMENT OF TWO EXISTING HYDRANTS ON COUNTY ROAD H IN <br />CONJUNCTION WITH RAMSEY COUNTY’S PROJECT <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the intersection of Mounds View Boulevard and County Road H is being <br />reconstructed by Ramsey County; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, two City of Mounds View hydrants need to be relocated due to the <br />construction; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Public Works recommends that the existing hydrants be replaced with new <br />hydrants due to their age; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Ferguson Waterworks has provide a material quote for new hydrants, pipe, <br />valves and fittings of $11,111.51; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Water Fund 2016 budget has $15,000.00 for gate valve replacement <br />which can be used for funding this need. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View, <br />Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br />1. The quote from Ferguson Waterworks for material is accepted in the amount of <br />$11,111.51 for providing two new hydrants, pipe, valves and fittings. <br /> <br />2. A contingency in the amount of $1,111.00 (10%) is approved for unforeseen conditions <br />during the replacement of the hydrants. <br /> <br />3.
