<br /> <br />www.ci.mounds-view.mn.us <br /> <br />MOUNDS VIEW POLICE CANINE (K9) UNIT <br /> <br />From April 1st to June 30th the K9 team responded to 111 calls for service. <br /> <br />In April the K9 team was deployed 4 times: <br />1 time for a suspect track <br />2 times for K9 deterrence <br />1 time for a vehicle narcotics search <br />On 4-23-2016 the K9 team responded to the 2300 block of County Road 10 for a <br />window of a business that had been broke out. The K9 team searched the area for the <br />suspect. <br />On 4-22-2016, officers were called to 1000 block of Montclair Ave for a suspect who <br />was wanted by Spring Lake Park PD for a recent felony assault. Officers checked the <br />residence with K9 Niko but the suspect was not at the residence. <br /> <br />In May the K9 team was deployed 5 times: <br /> 2 times for suspect tracks <br /> 1 time for a vehicle narcotics search <br /> 1 time as a K9 deterrence <br /> 1 K9 public demonstration <br />
