<br /> <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 8678 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF BODY WORN CAMERAS AND <br />RELATED PERIPHERAL EQUIPMENT <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council reviewed and approved the quotes for the purchase of <br />body worn cameras and related equipment at its work session on December 5, 2016; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Mounds View Police Department has tested various Body Worn <br />Camera systems and determined Watchguard the be the best value and fits the <br />operational needs of the agency; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Body Worn Cameras serve law enforcement and the public, by <br />accurately documenting police encounters, preserving evidence, increasing public trust. <br /> <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />MOUNDS VIEW THAT the City Council approves the purchase of five (5) Body Worn <br />Cameras and related equipment from Watchguard in the amount of $5585, with funds paid <br />from Account # 225-4200-1230. <br /> <br /> <br />Adopted this 12th day of December 2016. <br /> <br /> <br /> _______________________________ <br /> Joe Flaherty, Mayor <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> _______________________________ <br />James Ericson, City Administrator <br /> <br />(seal) <br /> <br />
