Resolution 8319, Conditionally Granting the Consent to the Transfer of 10 <br />Control of the Cable Television Franchise and Cable Television System from 11 <br />Comcast Corporation to GreatLand Connections, Inc. 12 <br /> 13 <br />Finance Director Beer stated that Comcast Corporation was in the process of merging with Time 14 <br />Warner. As part of this merger, Comcast Corporation was transferring control of the cable 15 <br />television franchise in the metro area to GreatLand Connections, Inc. Staff recommended that 16 <br />the Council conditionally grant consent to the transfer of control. 17 <br /> 18 <br />Council Member Mueller reviewed Amendment 1 and 2 to the proposed Resolution. She 19 <br />appreciated the guarantees that were included with the Resolution. 20 <br /> 21 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Hull.
