<br /> <br /> <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 8368 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RESCINDING PREVIOUSLY APPROVED RESOLUTION 8366 AND <br />REAPPROVING THE ENERGY SAVINGS PARTNERSHIP (ESP) FOR THE <br />COMMUNITY CENTER, CITY HALL AND TRAIL LIGHTS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there have been many issues related to the HVAC system at the <br />Community Center that have required many staff hours and expenses to diagnose and <br />repair; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council’s direction was to avoid any further major expenses <br />at the Community Center; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Staff realized that more attention was still needed to address the <br />ongoing equipment repairs and the comfort levels at the Community Center along with <br />some programing and operational issues; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Staff met with Trane and reviewed the inspection reports to try and <br />prioritize the repairs and/or replacements; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Staff started working with Trane to find other funding opportunities to <br />make the needed repairs and upgrades to the HVAC system and controls at the <br />Community Center; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a program was identified called ESP (Energy Savings Partnership) <br />administrated by the St. Paul Port Authority, an appropriation lease program; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Mounds View understands the <br />significant cost savings and benefits of the ESP program in order make the necessary <br />repairs and upgrades to the HVAC system and controls; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council approved Resolution 8366 at its January 12, 2015, <br />City Council meeting which indicated an incorrect total project cost of $577,959.00; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Staff reviewed the project and contract with Trane, the authorized <br />contractor, and it was discovered an error was made in the staff report and in <br />Resolution 8366 regarding the total project cost; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the correct total cost of the project is $874,964.00, which will be <br />funded by the projected energy savings realized, and all equipment and supplies will be <br />purchased under TCPN Number 32-10012-15-001. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
