Resolution 8351, Selection of the Acting Mayor, Treasurer and Official 1 <br />Depositories for 2015. 2 <br /> 3 <br />City Administrator Ericson noted this was a housekeeping item and requested the Council select 4 <br />an Acting Mayor, Treasurer and official depository for 2015. 5 <br /> 6 <br />Council Member Mueller indicated she was willing to serve as the Acting Mayor in 2015. 7 <br /> 8 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Hull. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 8351, 9 <br />Selection of the Acting Mayor (Council Member Mueller), Treasurer and Official Depositories 10 <br />for 2015. 11 <br /> 12 <br /> Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 13 <br /> 14 <br />B. Resolution 8352, Appointing City Council Members and City Staff as 15 <br />Representatives for City Commissions and Other Organizations. 16 <br /> 17 <br />City Administrator Ericson requested the Council approve the appointment of City Council 18 <br />members and City Staff as representatives for City Commissions and other organizations. 19 <br /> 20 <br />Mayor Flaherty reported Council Member Mueller currently represents the City on the Ramsey 21 <br />County League of Local Government. Council Member Mueller was happy to continue serving. 22 <br /> 23 <br />Mayor Flaherty questioned who wanted to serve on the Blaine, Mounds View, Spring Lake Park 24 <br />Fire Relief Board. Council Member Gunn was recommended for this position. 25 <br /> 26 <br />Mayor Flaherty asked who was willing to serve on the Human Resources Committee. Council 27 <br />Member Hull and Council Member Meehlhause were willing to continue on this committee. 28 <br /> 29 <br />Council Member Meehlhause indicated he could serve as the representative for the Metro North 30 <br />Tourism Board (Twin Cities Gateway) and suggested Business Development Coordinator Brian 31 <br />Beeman serve as the alternate. 32 <br /> 33 <br />Council Member Meehlhause was interested in serving on the YMCA Advisory Committee and 34 <br />Council Member Hull would be the alternate. 35 <br /> 36 <br />Council Member Meehlhause suggested Finance Director Beer serve as the representative for the 37 <br />North Suburban Cable Commission. He believed that this would allow the City to have an 38 <br />invested member with a financial background. Finance Director Beer explained that he would 39 <br />not be available to attend the Thursday evening meetings. He indicated he could fill in during the 40 <br />interim or could serve as the alternate. 41 <br /> 42 <br />Mayor Flaherty stated he would be willing to serve as the North Suburban Cable Commission 43 <br />representative with Finance Director Beer and Council Member Meehlhause serving as the 44 <br />alternates. 45
