Mounds View City Council January 5, 2015 <br />Regular Meeting Page 3 <br /> <br /> 1 <br />Council Member Meehlhause would continue as the representative for Northeast Youth and 2 <br />Family Services. Mayor Flaherty would be the alternate. 3 <br /> 4 <br />Council Member Mueller would serve as the representative for the League of Minnesota Cities 5 <br />with Mayor Flaherty serving as the alternate. 6 <br /> 7 <br />Mayor Flaherty would represent the City in the North Metro Mayor’s Association with Council 8 <br />Member Mueller serving as the alternate. 9 <br /> 10 <br />The Mounds View Business Council would be represented by Council Member Mueller and 11 <br />Council Member Meehlhause. 12 <br /> 13 <br />Council Member Gunn was selected to serve on the I-35W Coalition and Council Member Hull 14 <br />would serve as the alternate. 15 <br /> 16 <br />Mayor Flaherty was interested in serving on Metro Cities with City Administrator Ericson. 17 <br /> 18 <br />Council Member Hull was willing to serve as the representative for the Anoka County Fire 19 <br />Protection Board, with Council Member Gunn serving as the alternate. 20 <br /> 21 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Hull. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 8352, 22 <br />Appointing City Council Members and City Staff as Representatives for City Commissions and 23 <br />Other Organizations. 24 <br /> 25 <br />Council Member Meehlhause reported he would be willing to serve as the Council liaison for the 26 <br />Planning Commission, Park and Recreation and EDC. 27 <br /> 28 <br />Mayor Flaherty explained that liaisons were eliminated four or five years ago and this 29 <br />responsibility was placed on staff. However, he appreciated Council Member Meehlhause’s 30 <br />willingness to serve the Council in this capacity. 31 <br /> 32 <br />The Council supported Council Member Meehlhause serving as a Council Representative to 33 <br />Committees and Commissions at the Planning Commission, Park and Recreation and EDC 34 <br />meetings. 35 <br /> 36 <br />Council Member Gunn arrived at the meeting. 37 <br /> 38 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 39 <br /> 40 <br />C. Resolution 8353, Approving Severance for Public Works Director Nick 41 <br />DeBar. 42 <br /> 43 <br />City Administrator Ericson stated Nick DeBar has resigned his position as Public Works Director 44 <br />with the City effective December 19, 2014.
