To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 8367, 2 <br />Approving Transfers Between Funds for 2014. 3 <br /> 4 <br />Acting Mayor Mueller commented the transfers between funds were a housekeeping issue 5 <br />handled by the Council each January. 6 <br /> 7 <br /> Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 8 <br /> 9 <br />D. Resolution 8368, Rescinding Resolution 8366 and Reapproving the ESP for 10 <br />the Community Center, City Hall and Trail Lights. 11 <br /> 12 <br />Acting Public Works Director Peterson requested the Council rescind Resolution 8366 and 13 <br />reapprove the Energy Savings Program for the Community Center, City Hall and trail lights. He 14 <br />provided further comment on the City’s energy needs at City Hall and the Community Center. 15 <br />He explained that he reviewed the ESP contract with the Finance Director and an error was 16 <br />found. For this reason, Staff requested reapproval of the Energy Savings Program. 17 <br /> 18 <br />Acting Mayor Mueller noted the Council received a revised Resolution from the City Attorney. 19 <br /> 20 <br />City Attorney Riggs discussed the revised Resolution noting the financing of the program with 21 <br />Trane was being addressed by staff. 22 <br /> 23 <br />Council Member Hull questioned how much money the City would be saving on energy through 24 <br />the Energy Savings Program. Finance Director Beer indicated the City would be saving roughly 25 <br />$87,000 per year over the next 11 years. 26 <br /> 27 <br />Acting Mayor Mueller asked where the solar panels would be installed. Acting Public Works 28 <br />Director Peterson reported one unit of solar panels would be installed on City Hall and another 29 <br />unit would be installed on the Community Center. 30 <br /> 31 <br />Acting Mayor Mueller recommended staff document the energy savings measures that the City 32 <br />was taking for the Green Cities program. 33 <br /> 34 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Hull.
