<br /> <br />Ordinance 899 <br />Page 2 <br /> <br /> <br />(d) Columbaria shall have a minimum side yard and rear yard setback of five <br />(5’) feet. <br /> <br />(e) Columbaria height shall not exceed eighteen (18’) feet or that of the <br />principal structure, whichever is less. <br /> <br />(f) If the religious institution ceases operation, all urns and remains must be <br />removed from the property within three (3) months of the institution’s vacating <br />the property. <br /> <br /> <br />SECTION 3. In accordance with Section 3.07 of the City Charter, City staff shall have the <br />following summary printed in the official City newspaper in lieu of the complete ordinance: <br /> <br />On May 11, 2015, the City Council adopted Ordinance 899 that amends <br />Chapters 1102 and 1106 of the Mounds View Municipal Code. These <br />amendments will allow columbaria, which are structures designed to hold <br />urns with a deceased’s cremated remains, on properties owned by religious <br />institutions. A printed copy of the ordinance is available for inspection during <br />regular business hours at Mounds View City Hall and is available on line at <br />the City’s web site located at www.ci.mounds-view.mn.us. <br /> <br />SECTION 4.
