<br /> <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 8433 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF ONE 2016 CHEVROLET IMPALA SEDAN AND <br />EQUIPMENT SETUP COSTS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Mounds View Police Department maintains a replacement <br />schedule of police vehicles to ensure that the police department can provide reliable <br />quality service to the community with a dependable fleet of police vehicles and; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Mounds View Police Department planned and budgeted for the <br />replacement of two squad cars in 2015 for a total budget of $65,000 with $36,000 <br />designated for the Utility vehicle, which was approved by resolution 8392 and the <br />remaining $29,000 available for the cost of the 2016 Chev Impala and equipment setup <br />and; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, three separate estimates were obtained for the 2016 Chevrolet Impala <br />Sedan with the lowest estimate of $18,193.65 from Thane Hawkins Polar Chevrolet and; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the cost of equipment setup, tax and licensing will total approximately <br />$4343.00. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of <br />Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota to authorize the purchase of one 2016 <br />Chevrolet Impala Sedan at a cost of $18,193.65, plus setup equipment, tax and <br />licensing costs of approximately $4343.00 for an overall total of $22,536.00. <br /> <br /> <br />Adopted this 13th day of July 2015. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> ____________________________________ <br /> Joe Flaherty, Mayor <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />ATTEST: ____________________________________ <br /> Jim Ericson, City Administrator <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />(seal) <br /> <br /> <br />
