RESOLUTION 8442 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPOINTING A PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSIONER TO <br />FILL THE REMAINING TERM OF ONE OPEN POSITION <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Jessica Birken resigned as a member of the Planning and Zoning <br />Commission; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Staff advertised for the vacated seat, and received two (2) applications; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 401.02, subd. 1, of the City Code, the City <br />Council is required to appoint members to the Planning and Zoning Commission based upon the <br />recommendations of the Planning and Zoning Commission; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission reviewed the applications and were <br />not able to make a recommendation to the City Council; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission recommended that the City Council <br />choose an applicant from the applications received. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mounds View City Council hereby <br />appoints Gary Quick as Commissioner on the Planning and Zoning Commission with a term <br />expiration date of December 31, 2017. <br /> <br /> <br /> Adopted this 10th day of August, 2015. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> _______________________________ <br /> Joe Flaherty, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> <br /> ________________________________ <br /> James Ericson, City Administrator <br /> <br />(seal) <br /> <br /> <br />
