works facilities and their project goal is to answer the question, “How much building do we <br />need?” At this point, that is the critical question that needs to be answered. Their work plan will <br />meet the needs as established in the RFP, and the requested compensation is below the <br />anticipated cost to perform this study. <br /> <br />The schedule developed for this project is shown below, and Oertel has indicated that this <br />schedule is acceptable. <br />September 14, 2015 – City Council approves the Request for Proposals (RPF) for the <br />Space Study. (Complete) <br />September 15, 2015 – Staff forwards the RFP to selected consultants. (Complete) <br />September 30, 2015 – Consultants return RFP to the City. Staff reviews and makes a <br />recommendation for award. (Complete) <br />October 12, 2015 – City Council approves consultant for award. <br />October 19, 2015 – Kick off meeting with consultant. <br />December 7, 2015 – Draft study presented to City Council for comment. <br />December 14, 2015 – Final study presented to City Council for approval. <br /> <br />Staff is recommending that the City Council approve the attached resolution selecting Oertel <br />Architects as the consultant to perform the space needs study.
