Resolution 8455, Accepting Donation from Bethlehem Baptist Church and 1 <br />Authorizing Distribution of Funds. 2 <br /> 3 <br />City Administrator Ericson explained that Bethlehem Baptist Church has been making donations 4 <br />to the City of Mounds View for the past 10 years. These donations were used each year to assist 5 <br />the City in funding programs and projects that were not covered by the City’s budget. He 6 <br />reported that Bethlehem Baptist has made a donation in the amount of $15,542.50, which would 7 <br />be used for Silver View Park restroom facilities, YMCA Safe After School for Youth Programs, 8 <br />Festival in the Park, the Community Resource Center and for splash pad amenities. Staff 9 <br />recommended the Council accept the donation and authorize distribution of funds. 10 <br /> 11 <br />Mayor Flaherty asked if the splash pad amenities should be funded when this item has not been 12 <br />considered by the City Council. City Administrator Ericson commented that the funds would be 13 <br />reprogrammed based on the needs of the City, in consultation with the Church. 14 <br /> 15 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Mueller. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 8455, 16 <br />Accepting Donation from Bethlehem Baptist Church and Authorizing Distribution of Funds. 17 <br /> 18 <br />Council Member Mueller thanked Bethlehem Baptist for their continued generosity. 19 <br /> 20 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 21 <br /> 22 <br /> 23 <br />E. Resolution 8454, Approving a Limited Use Agreement and an Assignment of 24 <br />a Limited Use Agreement for 8160 Red Oak Court. 25 <br /> 26 <br />City Administrator Ericson stated in 1989 the City entered into an agreement with the Creeg’s 27 <br />regarding the limited use of an easement area for a swimming pool at 8160 Red Oak Court. He 28 <br />indicated the yard had a drainage easement that straddle the property line. He explained the 29 <br />agreement was put into place to protect the City in the event the drainage easement were to fill 30 <br />with water. He noted that the property owner was looking to sell the property and a new limited 31 <br />use agreement was necessary in order to close and transfer the property. Staff recommended the 32 <br />Council approve and assign a limited use agreement for the property at 8160 Red Oak Court. 33 <br /> 34 <br />Council Member Mueller asked if the City has had any problems with the easement area flooding 35 <br />in the past 25 years. City Administrator Ericson reported there have not been any issues. 36 <br /> 37 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Meehlhause.
