SRO Leitch returns to this assignment at <br />Edgewood School after 9 years, when he previously served as the SRO. SRO Leitch <br />comments on how many school staff members have turned over, yet many veteran staff <br />continue to provide their dedicated service to the students. <br /> <br />The staff at Edgewood has taken a very proactive approach with students this year, not only <br />with any educational, social, or behavioral issues, but also with students making it to class on <br />time. So far this year, 99% of Edgewood students have made it to class on time! This is a <br />significant improvement over previous years. <br /> <br />This year also brought a change in after school activities, particularly in after school sports. <br />Students are now transported by bus from the surrounding middle schools to compete with <br />each other in their athletic events. <br /> <br />Proactive efforts by the school have kept incidents requiring law enforcement intervention to <br />a minimum with no significant incidents reported.
