Resolution 8467 Page 2 2. Establishment of Economic Development Authority. Pursuant to the Economic Development Authority Act, the Council hereby establishes an economic development authority for the City, to be known as the Mounds View Economic Development Authority (the “EDA”). The EDA shall be governed by a board of commissioners thereof consisting of the five members of the Council, and the term of each such commissioner of the EDA shall coincide with that commissioner’s membership on the City Council. 3. Powers. The EDA shall have all powers given to an economic development authority pursuant to the Economic Development Authority Act, and pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Section 469.091, subdivision 1, the specific authority to exercise all the powers contained in Minnesota Statutes, Sections 469.090 to 469.108 and all the powers granted to a Housing and Redevelopment Authority pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Sections 469.001 to 469.047 or other law, [and of a city under Minnesota Statutes, Sections 469.124 to 469.133 or other law], as the same may be amended or supplemented. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to execute all appropriate documents to effectuate the actions contemplated by this Resolution after review and approval by the City Attorney. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Administrator, staff and consultants are hereby authorized and directed to take any and all additional steps and actions necessary or convenient in order to accomplish the intent of this Resolution.
