Mounds View City Council October 26, 2015 <br />Regular Meeting Page 3 <br /> <br /> 1 <br />Council Member Meehlhause thanked Planning Associate Heller and the Planning Commission 2 <br />for their work on this item. He fully supported the proposed Ordinance amendment. 3 <br /> 4 <br />Council Member Gunn appreciated the Ordinance update as well. She thanked Planning 5 <br />Associate Heller for her dedicated service to the City of Mounds View and wished her well in her 6 <br />new position. 7 <br /> 8 <br />Mayor Flaherty agreed and thanked her personally for all she has done for the residents of 9 <br />Mounds View. He wished her all the best at the City of Little Canada. The Council offered her a 10 <br />round of applause. 11 <br /> 12 <br />Planning Associate Heller appreciated the Council’s kind words. Resolution 8466, Approving Revisions to the Planning Associate Position 18 <br />Description and Authorizing Advertisement of the Position of Planner. 19 <br /> 20 <br />City Administrator Ericson explained Planning Associate Heller’s last day with the City of 21 <br />Mounds View would be Friday, October 30th. He discussed the proposed hiring process and 22 <br />timeline. Staff requested the Council approve revisions to the Planning Associate position 23 <br />description and authorize the advertisement for the position of Planner. 24 <br /> 25 <br />Council Member Mueller questioned who would be training in the new employee. City 26 <br />Administrator Ericson reported he would take on this responsibility. 27 <br /> 28 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Hull. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 8466, 29 <br />Approving Revisions to the Planning Associate Position Description and Authorizing 30 <br />Advertisement of the Position of Planner. 31 <br /> 32 <br />Council Member Meehlhause appreciated that the new Planner would be responsible for 33 <br />comprehensive plan amendments and updates. 34 <br /> 35 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 36 <br /> 37 <br />E. Resolution 8470, Accepting the Work and Approving Final Payment for the 38 <br />2015 Masonry Rehabilitation at 2MG Ground Reservoir, Well No. 2 and the 39 <br />Booster Station Project to Cities Masonry Restoration, Inc. 40 <br /> 41 <br />Public Works Director Erickson requested the Council accept the work and approve the final 42 <br />payment for the 2015 Masonry Rehabilitation Project for the work completed on the 2MG 43 <br />Ground Reservoir, Well No. 2 and the Booster Station. He indicated the work was completed by 44 <br />Cities Masonry Restoration, Inc. 45
