<br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 8487 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />APPROVING THE 2016 SUBSCRIPTION AGREEMENT TO PEACE OFFICER <br />ACCREDITED TRAINING ONLINE (PATROL) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Mounds View Police Department has utilized an online training <br />system for continuing education courses called the Peace Officer Accredited Training <br />Online (PATROL) system; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this training system is sponsored by the League of MN Cities <br />Insurance Trust, Minnesota Counties Intergovernmental Trust, MN Chiefs of Police <br />Association and the MN Sheriff’s Association; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, through PATROL, agencies have access to web-based courses that <br />can be accessed anytime online and include monthly topics on current legal issues, use of <br />force, deadly force, OSHA training and supervisory and leadership courses; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this training offers the convenience and value to the officers while <br />providing up to as many as 28 POST credits per year; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the cost for this training program is $85 per officer per year, totaling <br />$1,615, which is included in the 2016 Police Department budget. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of <br />Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota, the approval of the 2016 Subscription <br />Agreement to the Peace Officer Accredited Training Online (PATROL) system for the <br />2016 calendar year at a total cost of $1,615. <br /> <br /> <br />Adopted this 14th day of December 2015. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> ____________________________________ <br /> Joe Flaherty, Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> ____________________________________ <br /> Jim Ericson, City Administrator <br /> <br /> <br />(seal) <br /> <br />
