ARTICLE 8. HOLIDAYS <br />8.1 Paid Holidays <br />The following is a list of holidays for which EMPLOYEES will be paid: <br />New Year's Day <br />Martin Luther King's Birthday <br />3. President's Day <br />4. Memorial Day <br />5. Independence Day <br />6. Labor Day <br />7. Veteran's Day <br />8. Thanksgiving Day <br />9. Day after Thanksgiving Day <br />10. Christmas Day <br />In the event that a holiday falls on a Saturday, the preceding Friday shall be a <br />paid holiday, and in the event that a holiday day falls on a Sunday, the following <br />Monday shall be a paid holiday. <br />8.2 Floating Holidays <br />In addition to the ten Paid Holidays noted above, EMPLOYEES will have two <br />Floating Holidays to be used each year. Floating Holidays not used by the end of <br />the year shall be forfeited. Floating Holidays will be paid out as regular vacation <br />time and shall be requested off and approved by the supervisor in the same <br />manner as regular vacation time. <br />ARTICLE 9.
