MOUNDS EW <br />of Mounds View Staff <br />Item No: 08A <br />Meeting Date: April 14, 2014 <br />Type of Business: CA <br />City Administrator Review: <br />To: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From: Desaree Crane, Assistant City Administrator <br />Item Title/Subject: Resolution 8244, Approving a Garbage and Rubbish License <br />for NO Sanitation, Inc. <br />Discussion: <br />In the past, Advanced Disposal conducted Spring and Fall Clean-up Days for the City of <br />Mounds View. This year Advanced Disposal is no longer able to assist the City in this <br />year's Spring Clean-up Day, scheduled for Saturday, May 10, 2014. Staff contacted <br />Ramsey County Recycling, and was recommended to use Nitti Sanitation, Inc. In order <br />for Nitti Sanitation, Inc. to assist in the May 10th Spring Clean -Up, they are required by <br />the City Code to obtain a Garbage and Rubbish Hauler business license. Nitti <br />Sanitation, Inc. has done business with the cities of Roseville, Inver Grove Heights, and <br />Mendota Heights. <br />Staff has received all required application materials and fees in accordance with the <br />Mounds View City Code. <br />Recommendation: <br />Staff recommends approval of Resolution 8244, approving Nitti Sanitation, Inc., for a <br />Garbage and Rubbish Hauler Business License.
