AWPA V Mounds View Streets and Utilities Committee Minutes for October 21, 1213 1. Call to order The meeting was called to order by Paul Schiltgen at 7:03 P.M at City Ball Council Chamber 2. Roll Call Present: Jim Battin, Tony Hoffman, Dan Larson, Paul Schiltgen, Shawn Young and Public Works Director Nick DeBar. 3. Approval of Agenda Motion by Shawn Young, second by Tony Hoffman to approve minutes. Motion approved 5 — 0 4. Approval of Minutes September 10h 2013 Meeting Minutes: Minutes amended to correct spelling of Jim Battin's name. Motion by Jim Batten, second by Shawn Young. Motion approved 5.0 5. Public Input None 6. SPECIAL ORDER OR BUSINESS A. Public Information Meeting for Street Design of Ardan Avenue in Areas G & H. Nick DeBar and Cristina Mlejnek gave presentation of the proposed construction options for Arden Avenue. Resident feedback/comments #1- Resident opposed the making of Arden Avenue a non-standard street due to the lack of foot, vehicle and bicycle traffic, and the cost. Nick DeBar responded to resident's questions. #2- Resident opposed the making of Arden Avenue a non-standard street. The resident also mentioned the amount and her concern about speeding. Nick DeBar responded to resident's questions. #3 - Resident asked about the loss of front yard if Arden Avenue was a non-standard street.
