CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />AGREEING B TO <br />MAINTAIN <br />SILVER LAKE ROAD ICOUNTYDEWALK ALONG ROAD H <br />AND EDGEWOOD DRIVE <br />WHEREAS, the Comprehensive Plan includes a trail and sidewalk map to be <br />used for development and improvement of a citywide trailway system; and <br />WHEREAS, the Public Works Department, Parks and Recreation and Forestry <br />Commission, and the Streets and Utilities Committee recommend a sidewalk in the <br />north boulevard of County Road H between Silver Lake Road and Edgewood Drive; and <br />WHEREAS, a public information meeting was held in July 2012 and adjacent <br />property owners were invited to learn about the proposed sidewalk and provide <br />feedback to engineering staff and the Parks Commission; and <br />WHEREAS, cost -share opportunities for construction of the proposed sidewalk <br />exists with Ramsey County and grant monies may be available from the Safe Routes to <br />School Program; and <br />WHEREAS, Stantec is assisting the City with the Safe Routes to School Program <br />application as part of final design and bidding documents preparation; and <br />WHEREAS, the City will be required to provide long-term maintenance for the <br />proposed sidewalk improvements if constructed. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, HE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of <br />Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota that the City agrees to maintain the <br />proposed sidewalk along County Road H between Silver Lake Road and Edgewood <br />Drive including snow removal and ice control. <br />Adopted this 271h day of January, 2014. <br />Joe Flaherty, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />James Ericson, City Administrator <br />(SEAL) <br />
