Mounds View City Council August 11, 2014 <br />Regular Meeting Page 7 <br /> <br />1. Finance Quarterly Report. 1 <br /> 2 <br />Finance Director Beer reviewed the second quarter finance report in detail with the Council. He 3 <br />noted revenues were trending ahead of 2013, along with interest earnings while most 4 <br />departments were under budget. He explained that staff would be preparing the 2015 budget in 5 <br />the third and fourth quarter. He provided staff with insurance information on the City’s water 6 <br />lines. He stated he would be recommending the water line insurance fee go from $6.00 to $7.50 7 <br />per quarter in 2015. 8 <br /> 9 <br />Finance Director Beer discussed a recent Finance Officers meeting he attended at Ramsey 10 <br />County and provided comment on how market values would be shifting in the coming year. He 11 <br />was pleased to report that residential properties were steadily on the rise. 12 <br /> 13 <br />Council Member Mueller thanked staff for the finance information presented. 14 <br /> 15 <br />City Administrator Ericson reported the City applied for the MAVA grant. He noted he would 16 <br />be meeting with officials from Bethlehem Baptist Church to discuss options for their second half 17 <br />donation. He stated Tim Roche with the Chamber of Commerce would be moving on to another 18 <br />position and wished him well. The Chamber was going through a search process. 19 <br /> 20 <br />City Administrator Ericson stated the Apple Tree Dental facility was open for business. He 21 <br />indicated Apple Tree has invited the City to attend a ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday, 22 <br />August 27th at 4:30 p.m. 23 <br /> 24 <br />City Administrator Ericson invited the public to participate in the primary election on August 25 <br />12th. 26 <br /> 27 <br />C.
