5 <br /> <br /> <br />Canine (K-9) Unit <br /> <br /> <br />From July 1st to September 30th, the K-9 team responded to 271 calls for service, wrote 76 <br />reports and made 10 arrests. <br /> <br />In July, the K-9 team was deployed a total of 20 times: <br /> <br />• 10 for assisting in making arrests <br />• 6 for area searches <br />• 4 for narcotic searches. <br />In August, there were a total of 8 deployments: <br /> <br />• 1 area search <br />• 4 for assisting in making arrests <br />• 4 meet and greets. <br />On August 4th, our K-9 team did a meet and greet at a local neighborhood block party. <br /> <br />August 5th, was National Night Out and our K-9 team attended several block parties. <br /> <br />August 13th, Nick and Niko went to Abiding Savior Church for a family festival. <br />
