Stantec Consulting Services Inc. <br />2335 Highway 36 West, St. Paul MN 55113-3819 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />November 14, 2014 <br />File: 193802913 <br />Attention: Mr. Nick DeBar, Public Works Director <br />City of Mounds View <br />2401 County Highway 10 <br />Mounds View, MN 55112 <br />Dear Nick, <br />Reference: 2015 Groveland Sanitary Lift Station Improvement <br /> Letter of Agreement for Engineering Services <br /> Design Phase <br />Stantec highly values and enjoys its excellent working relationship with the City of Mounds View. <br />We are very pleased you have given us another opportunity to continue this relationship by <br />offering our services to the City for the Improvement Project for the Groveland Sanitary Lift Station. <br />This letter will outline our understanding of the work, provide a schedule and cost for our services, <br />and define the method of compensation. <br /> <br />Our mutual understanding of the work scope, approximate schedule, and associated fees is <br />summarized in the form of this letter, which, in combination with our existing Professional Services <br />Agreement, will form an agreement between the City of Mounds View (“City”) and Stantec. <br /> <br />Scope of Work <br />The engineering activities necessary for a project for the Mounds View Groveland Sanitary Lift <br />Station Improvement Project can be broken down into three main phases: 1) design of the <br />project; 2) bidding activities to obtain a contractor; and 3) construction services. <br /> <br />Based on discussion with City Staff, the anticipated engineering activities have been organized <br />into those main phases. The phases essentially follow a chronological sequence. <br /> <br />Design Phase – Overview <br />At this point in the development of the Groveland Sanitary Lift Station Improvement Project, the <br />next step would be for the City to authorize the Design Phase. The scope of the Design Phase <br />would be such to guide the project from initiation through completion of the detailed design <br />process. The Design Phase would result in the production of a set of construction documents, <br />consisting of drawings and a project manual, suitable for consideration of approval by the City <br />Council. It would also produce applications for all required permits for the project.
