<br /> <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 8343 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />APPROVING PURCHASE 2-POST ROTARY TL07 SURFACE MOUNTED ELECTRIC- <br />HYDRAULIC LIFT <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Public Works Department maintenance program includes performing <br />preventative maintenance and unexpected repairs on mowers and smaller motorized <br />equipment, and; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, employees are required to get under the equipment, this is done by <br />utilizing a floor jack and placing portable jack stands to help support the piece of equipment, <br />and; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council understands this is not safe nor the best practice, as it <br />does put employees in a potentially dangerous situation, and; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Public Works Staff has been looking into a number of options best <br />suited to perform this work and keep employees safe, and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Public Works staff received a quote from Pump and Meter out of <br />Hopkins, MN, for a 2-post Rotary TL07 surface mounted lift; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the lift is in the 2014 Budget in account 100-4465-7030, budgeted at <br />$6,000.00. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds <br />View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br /> <br />1. The City hereby accepts the quote of $6,050.10, submitted by the Pump and <br />Meter Service Inc. of Hopkins, MN. <br />2. Public Works staff is authorized to purchase Rotary TL07 2-post surface <br />mounted lift electric –hydraulic operation. <br />3. Payment for the unit funded from the Capital Equipment fund 100-4465-7030. <br />4.
