10 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Department News <br /> <br />The police department saw some personnel changes during the first quarter of 2013. On <br />February 10th, Officer Andrew Olson resigned to begin employment with another law <br />enforcement agency. On February 27th, Sgt. Bob Nelson retired after 28 years of dedicated <br />service to the city of Mounds View. Sgt Nelson served in many different roles throughout his <br />long career. He began his career in 1985 and started as a patrol officer. He went on to serve <br />as a DARE officer, school resource officer (SRO), investigator and was promoted to the rank <br />of sergeant in 2005. Bob was instrumental in coordinating the department’s participation in <br />the Ramsey County Traffic Safety Initiative during the last few years.
