Mounds View City Council May 13, 2013 <br />Regular Meeting Page 5 <br /> <br />off-sale intoxicating liquor license would be in effect from July 1, 2013 to June 30, 2014. 1 <br /> 2 <br />Mayor Flaherty opened the public hearing at 7:32 p.m. 3 <br /> 4 <br />Robert Waste, Jr., Vino & Stogies, explained he has been in contact with Ramsey County and 5 <br />has arranged for a confession of judgment payment plan. This would allow him to pay off his 6 <br />outstanding property taxes over the next 10 years with interest. He would have to stay current in 7 <br />order for the payment plan to remain in place. He noted the May taxes would be added into the 8 <br />judgment. Mr. Waste stated business has been tough with the surrounding road construction. 9 <br /> 10 <br />Mayor Flaherty thanked Mr. Waste for working with Ramsey County on a payment plan. 11 <br /> 12 <br />Hearing no further public input, Mayor Flaherty closed the public hearing at 7:35 p.m. 13 <br /> 14 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Gunn. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 8098, a 15 <br />Resolution to Consider Approval of an Off-Sale Intoxicating Liquor License for Vino & Stogies, 16 <br />located at 2345 County Road H2 contingent upon a satisfactory criminal background check, 17 <br />liquor compliance check, fire inspection and that a payment plan be submitted to the City for the 18 <br />outstanding property taxes no later than Friday, June 14, 2013. 19 <br /> 20 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 21 <br /> 22 <br />C. 7:10 p.m. Public Hearing, Resolution 8099, a Resolution to Consider 23 <br />Approval of an Off-Sale 3.2 Malt Liquor License for SuperAmerica, located 24 <br />at 2640 County Road I. 25 <br /> 26 <br />Assistant City Administrator Crane stated that SuperAmerica has submitted all necessary 27 <br />paperwork and fees for their 3.2 malt liquor license. She noted property taxes and utilities were 28 <br />current for this property. She indicated the liquor license approval would be contingent upon a 29 <br />satisfactory criminal background check, liquor compliance check and fire inspection. She stated 30 <br />the 3.2 malt liquor license would be in effect from July 1, 2013 to June 30, 2014. 31 <br /> 32 <br />Mayor Flaherty opened the public hearing at 7:36 p.m. 33 <br /> 34 <br />Hearing no public input, Mayor Flaherty closed the public hearing at 7:36 p.m. 35 <br /> 36 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Meehlhause.
