Mounds View City Council December 5, 2011 <br />Truth in Taxation Meeting Page 3 <br /> <br />at the last Council meeting. 1 <br /> 2 <br />Mayor Flaherty questioned how much the City has saved through the Street and Utility 3 <br />Improvement Program over the past three years. Finance Director Beer explained the City has 4 <br />saved approximate $1.1-$1.2 million over the estimated original costs. He indicated $400,000 5 <br />was to be levied each year for 10 years for the Street and Utility Improvement Program and this 6 <br />amount has been decreased to $300,000 a year. 7 <br /> 8 <br />Council Member Stigney asked where the impound fees and auction sales were noted within the 9 <br />budget. Finance Director Beer stated Page 29 and Page 75 of the budget reflected the forfeiture 10 <br />or auction sales. He noted the City does not collect impound fees. 11 <br /> 12 <br />Council Member Gunn inquired if the gas and oil prices were increased from 2011. Finance 13 <br />Director Beer stated the rate was increased to $4.00 per gallon and the yearly average should be 14 <br />within the 2012 rates set in the budget. 15 <br /> 16 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Stigney.
