RESOLUTION NO. 7908 CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW COUNTY OF RAMSEY STATE OF MINNESOTA RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AMENDMENT OF THE MOUNDS VIEW PERSONNEL MANUAL IN SECTION 3.50 RELATING TO UNIFORM REIMBURSEMENT FOR CIVILIAN POLICE DEPARTMENT EMPLOYEES WHEREAS, the AFSCME Council 5 Local 2686 decertified in December of 2011, and, WHEREAS, three civilian employees formerly covered under the AFSCME labor agreement as noted below work in the Mounds View Police Department: • Records/Evidence Technician • Support Specialist • Public Safety Officer (PSO) WHEREAS, the Personnel Manual in Section 3.50 provides for a schedule of uniform reimbursements which needs to be updated to include reference to the former AFSCME employees noted above. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Mounds View City Council approves the following revisions to the Personnel Manual in Section 3.50 as follows: SECTION 3.50: UNIFORM ALLOWANCES The non-union Mounds View Public Works employees are authorized the same uniform allowance reimbursement as the Public Works Union employees as outlined in the Public Works Union Contract. The sworn non-union Mounds View Police Department employees (Chief and Deputy Chief) are authorized the same uniform allowance reimbursement benefits as the Police L.E.L.S Union employees as outlined in the L.E.L.S. Police Sergeants union contract. Employees working in the Police Department in the positions of Support Specialist, Records/Evidence Technician, and Public Safety Officer (PSO) shall be reimbursed up to a maximum of $350.00 annually for uniform items required by the EMPLOYER.
