<br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 7908 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AMENDMENT OF THE MOUNDS VIEW <br />PERSONNEL MANUAL IN SECTION 3.50 RELATING TO UNIFORM <br />REIMBURSEMENT FOR CIVILIAN POLICE DEPARTMENT EMPLOYEES <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the AFSCME Council 5 Local 2686 decertified in December of 2011, <br />and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, three civilian employees formerly covered under the AFSCME labor <br />agreement as noted below work in the Mounds View Police Department: <br /> <br />• Records/Evidence Technician <br />• Support Specialist <br />• Public Safety Officer (PSO) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Personnel Manual in Section 3.50 provides for a schedule of <br />uniform reimbursements which needs to be updated to include reference to the former <br />AFSCME employees noted above. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Mounds View City Council <br />approves the following revisions to the Personnel Manual in Section 3.50 as follows: <br /> <br />SECTION 3.50: UNIFORM ALLOWANCES <br /> <br />The non-union Mounds View Public Works employees are authorized the same uniform allowance <br />reimbursement as the Public Works Union employees as outlined in the Public Works Union <br />Contract. <br /> <br />The sworn non-union Mounds View Police Department employees (Chief and Deputy Chief) are <br />authorized the same uniform allowance reimbursement benefits as the Police L.E.L.S Union <br />employees as outlined in the L.E.L.S. Police Sergeants union contract. <br /> <br />Employees working in the Police Department in the positions of Support Specialist, Records/Evidence <br />Technician, and Public Safety Officer (PSO) shall be reimbursed up to a maximum of $350.00 <br />annually for uniform items required by the EMPLOYER. <br /> <br /> <br />Adopted this 12th day of March, 2012 <br /> <br /> <br /> _______________________________ <br /> Joe Flaherty, Mayor <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> _______________________________ <br />James Ericson, City Administrator <br /> <br />(seal)
