RESOLUTION NO. 79197 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION DESIGNATING THE <br />2011 MOUNDS VIEW CITIZEN OF THE YEAR AWARD <br /> <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Mounds View Citizen of the Year Award recognizes ordinary citizens <br />who have demonstrated outstanding dedication to improving their communities; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Mounds View Citizen of the Year Award recognizes a Mounds View <br />resident who represents the energetic, courageous, persistent and informed involvement of <br />an ordinary citizen in the issues and challenges that affect the City; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, nominations were solicited from the public and were reviewed by the City <br />Council; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Jerry Skelly, 7095 Knollwood Drive, was selected from the nominations <br />and meets the criteria outlined in the policy; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Jerry Skelly, as a citizen of Mounds View, has exemplified the courage <br />and determination to follow his values; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Jerry Skelly has demonstrated drive and initiative in his approach to <br />citizenship and has worked steadfastly with various community groups and organizations; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Jerry Skelly has volunteered a significant amount of time and energy to <br />further community causes and issues; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, his efforts have generated positive results for the community; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, he has contributed his efforts unselfishly, not expecting anything in return. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mounds View City Council does <br />hereby present the 2011 Mounds View Citizen of the Year Award to Jerry Skelly, in sincere <br />gratitude and appreciation for efforts as a Mounds View citizen. <br /> <br />Adopted this 26th day of March, 2012 <br /> <br /> <br />______________________________ <br />Joe Flaherty, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> ______________________________ <br />James Ericson, City Administrator <br />(seal) <br />
