LELS 204 Contract <br />March 26, 2012 <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />Article 23.2: Retirement Health Savings Plan (RHSP) <br /> <br />The only change to this section is with the employee groupings for purposes of contributing <br />1% to 3% of wages to the RHSP. <br /> <br />Article 27: Longevity Pay <br /> <br />The language in this section regarding an educational incentive has been removed as it no <br />longer applies to any employee. The language had indicated that Employees hired after <br />January 1, 1984 shall not be eligible to receive Educational Incentive Pay. There are no <br />employees left in the group for which this provision would apply thus it was eliminated. <br /> <br />Appendix A: Wages <br /> <br />Consistent with every other bargaining group and non-union employees, the following wage <br />table has been agreed upon by both parties: <br /> <br /> 2011: 0% 2012: 1.5% 2013: 1.5% <br /> <br />In addition, the follow provision was added to address compensation for the K-9 Handler <br />assignment: <br /> <br />“Employees classified or assigned by the EMPLOYER as K-9 Handler will receive two <br />hundred dollars ($200) per month in supplemental pay plus one (1) paid day off per month <br />during the term of this AGREEMENT.” <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />It is recommended the City Council approve Resolution 7918, approving the labor <br />agreement with LELS 204 (Patrol Officers and investigators) effective January 1, 2011 <br />through December 31, 2013. <br /> <br />Respectfully submitted, <br /> <br /> ________________________ <br />James Ericson <br />City Administrator <br />
